     General climate of the city and best time to visit:

    The climate of Kabul is mainly continental and dry with four seasons. The rainfall is between May and November. The best time to visit Kabul are during June and late September–early October.

     Area and location :

    Between the Hindu Kush mountains along the Kabul River. Kabul is situated in a narrow valley, about 5,900 feet (1,800 metres) above-sea-level. It is connected with Ghazni, Kandahar, Herat and Mazari Sharif through a long beltway (circular highway) that extends across Afghanistan. Kabul is also joined by highways with Tajikistan to the north and Pakistan to the southeast.

    Kabul is the largest city and capital of Kabul. It is an important cultural and economic center of Afghanistan. munitions, cloth, furniture, and beet sugar, are some of the principle products of Kabul. More than 3000 years old, Kabul has seen many political and historical changes. The population of Kabul is multi ethnic and multicultural. With its reconstruction and development Kabul is gaining strength and walking towards consolidated positive image.

     Government:

    There are two independent councils or administrations of Kabul city Prefecture and Municipality. The mayor is engaged in the city's planning and environmental work. The Governor of Kabul is responsible for the administrative and formal issues of the entire province. the Ministry of Interior appoints the governor of Kabul. The Chief of Police is responsible for maintaining the law enforcement and security in all districts of Kabul Province. the Minister of Interior selects or appoints the Chief of police. Shahr-e Naw (New City), Wazir Akbar Khan, Macro Ryans, Khair Khana, Klola Pushta and Taimani, Kartey Parwan , Kartey Naw, Kartey, Darul-Aman, Chehlstoon, Deh Sabz are some of the areas of kabul city. Kabul City is among the 15 districts of Kabul Province, and itself divided into 18 sectors. The number of sector of Kabul rose from 11 to 18.
