    Canberra is a city of tourist interest. Not that all the visitors flock in the city centre for visiting the historical places of interest but some roam near the suburbs of the city to enjoy the natural beauty. Though Canberra has a population of 3,25,000 people however all the people are not original residents of the city. Some have come here for working in the Parliament while others have come to stay in the city for the purpose of study.     • Telstra Tower : This functional communications tower rises 195 m above the summit of Black Mountain . It is able to provide 360 degree views of Canberra and the countryside around it. It has a revolving restaurant which attracts tourists from far and wide.

    Canberra offers marvelous walks and bike rides both in the city and surrounding area. Several places to explore include Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve which is located 45 km southwest of the city. Here you can walk around the bushland where you'll get to see plenty of wildlife. If you are adventurous you can go for bushwalking in the Namadgi National Park located in the South of Acton . This national park has a number of peaks that are quite high.
