    Seoul



    The capital city of South Korea is Seoul and it is situated on the banks of the famous Han river. The city is 30 miles away from the strategic location of its border with North Korea. This strategic location is often known as de-militarized zone and is popular in its abbreviate form as DMZ. The city consists of a population of one million and is determined as the largest and most populated city of South Korea. The city population is placed in a total area of 605 square kilometers. With a population of nearly one million and a total surface area of about 605 square kilometers, the city has become one of the most densely populated ones.

    The climatic conditions of Seoul can be referred as a temperate type and as well as continental one. This particular climatic condition is due to the fact that Seoul is covered by water bodies in all its sides. Summers in Seoul are generally hot and the hottest month of during the summers is the month August. Monsoon comes in the month of June and lasts till September the latest. The winters in Seoul are generally cold and sometimes very cold and chilly and it is in record that minimum 28 to 30 days in Seoul faces snow fall. The Dol sot bap is a mixed rice preparation; boiled white rice is served with salads, fried eggs, vegetables and beef. The whole item is served in a bowl with chop sticks. The Bulgogi, no matter whether it is beef or pork, it’s a meet preparation where the beef or the pork is dried and marinated with different sauces and the dish is a spicy one. The onion cake is an exclusive dish of Seoul and you should not miss it at any point of time in Seoul.     Government

    The administrative and governmental structure at Seoul in South Korea has been categorized as Seoul Metropolitan government, the executive unit, the Seoul Metropolitan Council, and the Legislative body. The administrative structure in Seoul is divided into 'si' means the city, 'gu' means the district and 'dong means the village. Each of these administrative structures is headed by different heads and all the basic necessities are available at all administrative structures.
